Irvine Valley College (IVC) in Irvine, California, is a growing community of young amateur radio operators. Sponsored by the IVC Police Department, the club consists of nearly 40 active student members and approximately 15 community members. The club aims to promote amateur radio among youth, ensuring the continued growth and sustainability of the club by providing access to amateur radio equipment and guiding understanding.

The IVC Amateur Radio Club is furthering its outreach with its Amateur Radio Youth Outreach (ARYO) initiative, which aims to install a base station at the school, create a portable HF set up for offsite events, and put up a repeater. The group will also focus on modern amateur radio modes and the relevance of amateur radio to the interests of young people. This upgrade includes essential equipment, tools, and outreach supplies, while also setting aside a portion for unexpected costs.
