Spring Creek Middle School is a public school serving students in grades six through eight in a rural area of northeastern Nevada. They will be offering an Amateur Radio class as an elective beginning in the 2022-2023 school year. This grant will fund the books, soldering stations, kits, and antenna building supplies that will be used for the class.

The project will increase interest and participation in amateur radio and its use as a public and emergency service. Additionally, amateur radio will introduce students to a wide range of disciplines including electronics and electricity principles, digital and analog technology, atmospheric and space science, communications, geography, and languages.
