Advancing STEM for Indigenous People (AISES), founded by American Indian scientists, engineers, and educators in 1977, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that strives to both identify and remove barriers to academic success. They do this by offering academic, financial, and cultural support to American Indians, Alaska Natives, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, and Indigenous peoples of Canada from pre-kindergarten through graduate school that are located in North America and the Pacific Islands, paving the way for successful careers in a STEM field.

This grant will fund scholarships for 12 students in the 2024-2025 academic year that are pursuing higher education in a STEM field at an accredited institution. As a result of these scholarships, these students will have opportunities for mentorship, internships, student development, and leadership training, all with the end goal of providing a clear pathway to graduation and a successful STEM career.
