This project from the University of Victoria is for the development of a 3U CubeSat with an amateur radio and ionospheric science mission. It is funded by a grant from the Canadian Space Agency’s CubeSats Initiative in Canada for STEM (CUBICS) program. The ARDC funds will be utilized to develop a new, non ITAR restricted, module SDR base radio.

The SkyaanaSat Consortium members are all non-profit university research laboratories and student groups at the University of Victoria. They share the same mission to train highly qualified personnel, provide science, technology, engineering & math (STEM) education, and the advancement of science and technology.
